Harry tunes in to Lennon

Harry Redknapp reflected on Aaron Lennon's performance against Blackburn and insisted: "He's electric."

Harry Redknapp reflected on Aaron Lennon's performance against Blackburn and insisted: "He's electric."

The winger produced his best display of the campaign so far to run Rovers ragged in the first half, setting up the winning goal for Roman Pavlyuchenko and forcing left-back Martin Olsson into committing two fouls that got him sent off.

"He's exciting," said Harry. "He picks the ball up, gets at people and takes the game to them. He carries the game forward.

"I think his confidence is coming back and he's a real handful. He's so quick. He can go inside or out and his pace is electric. He's so difficult to play against.

"I've coached (Theo) Walcott and he's a fantastic talent, so is Lennon.

"He's only a kid. He went to World Cup in 2006 and there's not a lot stopping him, there aren't that many exciting wingers around who can do what he can do."

Harry was asked whether or not England coach Fabio Capello had enquired about Aaron. "No, but if he starts seeing him play like that he'll put him back in the picture again. It's up to Aaron, his confidence is high and he's playing well."
