Harry trains with Wembley volunteers
18 August 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Winks was at Wembley Stadium on Thursday to join a training session for our match day catering kiosk volunteers, ahead of the Club’s first home game of the season against Chelsea this weekend.
The kiosk will be open at all our home matches and is staffed solely by 16- to 24-year-old volunteers recruited by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation from the local community in Brent, with all participants guaranteed a job interview with Wembley Stadium’s catering partner Delaware afterwards. This initiative forms part of the Club’s commitment to providing community development, training and employment opportunities to local people during our season at Wembley.
After successfully learning how to operate the till, Winksy tried his hand at serving some light refreshments to volunteers before testing out the new-found skills of the young people.
Speaking at the event, Harry said: “It was great to come down to Wembley today and meet all the volunteers.
“I think it’s fantastic that we’re giving local young people an opportunity to develop their skills on the kiosk and hopefully this will help them in their future careers.”
