Harry, Tom look to get job done for U21s

Harry Kane has his sights set on a first goal for England Under-21s.
The striker is in the squad with Spurs team-mate Tom Carroll - currently on loan at QPR - for the European Championship qualifiers in San Marino tonight and Lithuania at Ipswich’s Portman Road on Tuesday.
Harry has scored at Under-17, 19 and 20 levels for England and is determined to add Under-21s to that list.
“It would mean a lot,” said Harry. “I’ve scored at every level I’ve played at and this would be another step. It’s something I’d love to do.
“If the manager selects me, I know there will be a chance to score and I’m confident I’ll go out there and get on the scoresheet.”
Both Harry and Tom spoke about being professional in San Marino - not least after the hosts shocked Wales with a 1-0 win last month.
“It’s a game we should win and we’ve got to go out there and do the job,” said Harry. “We have a strong squad and if we go out there and apply ourselves in the right way, we should be fine.”
Tom added: “We’ve got to deliver out there. We know they will get players behind the ball but we’ve got to be clever, patient and try to break them down. We’ll certainly look to get the ball forward and create chances.
“I’ve played in the last two games and felt I’ve done well, so I’m looking forward to hopefully being involved again. Hopefully we’ll both get some game time.”
