Harry reflects on U21s' stalemate

Harry Kane summed up Monday night’s goalless draw against Everton Under-21s as ‘one of those games.’
The forward captained our side in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League – just over 48 hours after coming on for Emmanuel Adebayor in Saturday’s draw at Hull.
Harry was restricted largely to shots from range – causing problems for Everton goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe on a couple of occasions – while the Toffees found Jordan Archer in good form at the other end.
Our England Under-21 international spoke afterwards about how he felt we were ‘unlucky’ in our pursuit of goals.
“I think we created a few chances that on another day would have gone in,” Harry reflected. “We played in tough conditions, but the lads did great. We tried to play our football and obviously with a 0-0, you want to be scoring goals but it’s one of those games at the end of the day.”
Harry insisted that despite the lack of goals, he was happy with the way we performed: “We had a few chances and a few of them were unlucky – a couple off the bar, the keeper’s pulled off a good save.
“But we’re happy with the way we played and the way we tried to play on this tricky pitch and we come away positive.”
