Harry ready for derby classic

Harry Redknapp insists Saturday's big derby at the Emirates ‘has the makings of a great game'.

The manager has been boosted by the return of Jermain Defoe and possible availability of Aaron Lennon after injury for this season's first north London clash in the Barclays Premier League.

Both teams go into the match on the back of positive results with us beating Blackburn 4-2 at the Lane on Saturday and the Gunners moving to within two points of Chelsea at the summit with a 2-1 win at Everton.

Arsenal got the better of us 3-0 at the Emirates last season - two goals in a minute just before half-time sealed our fate that day - but we hit back with a memorable 2-1 success at the Lane in April on our way to fourth place and Champions League qualification.

There were only five points between the teams in third and fourth place last term and Harry feels the gap is as close as it's been in recent years.

"It was close last season with very little between the two teams and I think this season is the same," said Harry.

"Arsenal play fantastic football, let's be honest, but I think we do as well. We play some great stuff.

"Everyone saw Nasri playing for France the other night, for me he was the best player on the pitch against England. They also have Fabregas but we have real quality as well, like van der Vaart and Modric.

"It will be an interesting game between two teams who want to play, want to pass the ball and show great movement. It's got the makings of a great match.

"We're stronger now than we have been and there is no reason we can't go there, play well and get a result.

"We need to be solid because they can play and they do great chances. We'll have to be at our best, but we can go there full of confidence and look to have a go."
