Harry named in PFA team of the year

Harry Kane has been named in the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) Premier League Team of the Year.

Members of the PFA select a player for each position in a 4-4-2 system and Harry has been chosen to partner Chelsea’s Diego Costa up front.

Harry has enjoyed a fine season in the Premier League with 20 goals in 30 appearances, including 24 starts.

In doing so, he has become the first home-grown player to hit 20 league goals in a season since Mark Falco in 1984-85.

He scored twice in our home wins against Chelsea and Arsenal, was named Barclays Player of the Month in January and February and won BBC Match of the Day’s Goal of the Month for January.

Having netted his first senior hat-trick for us in the Europa League against Asteras Tripolis, Harry scored his first Premier League hat-trick against Leicester City on March 21.

His performances have seen him nominated for both the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year Awards – the winners will be revealed at the PFA Awards in London this evening.
