Harry meets NFL star Landon Collins

25 July 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane hooked up with one of the rising stars of the NFL on Monday.

A huge NFL fan, Harry met New York Giants' safety Landon Collins at the Giants' training facility in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Landon's performances secured a place in the NFL's prestigious Pro Bowl last year and London-based NFL fans had a close view of what he's all about in a Man of the Match display against the LA Rams at Twickenham in November, when he ran in a memorable touchdown after picking off an interception. He helped Giants reach the play-offs but they lost out to the Green Bay Packers in January.

As we all know, Harry is now back-to-back Golden Boot winner in the Premier League - put them together and there was some sporting talent on show in this corner of New Jersey!

The pair ran through NFL and soccer drills, giving each other advice as they went along. Harry then ended the session by kicking over a field goal from 50-plus yards.

"It's been fun and just to come out here and meet these athletes, to see how they work day in, day out, it's fantastic. I love doing this sort of thing, I like all sports so to come here and try out a bit of NFL was great.

"In many ways we're very similar and it was great to test myself in a different environment.

"I was at Twickenham for his touchdown last season and that was crazy! The run seemed to go on for ages! To see him do that live was something special."

Landon added: "He's very athletic, I'll tell you that much! He took a few things I told him straight onto the field and it was great to see how an athlete from another sport does that."
