'Harry is always motivated, he loves the game'

Mauricio Pochettino summed up Harry Kane’s desire to be back in action with three simple words: “He loves football!”
The England striker has been sidelined since injuring his ankle in the 1-0 home win over Sunderland on September 18 but was spotted back in training with the squad at Hotspur Way this week.
Understandably keen to not rush the forward back too soon, Mauricio ruled him out of Wednesday night’s defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League at Wembley.
But as the 23-year-old continues to make good progress on the road to recovery, Mauricio said he can sense Harry’s enthusiasm over his impending return to action.
“Harry is a player who loves football, who enjoys playing a lot and that is tough (when injured),” said Mauricio.
“He loves the game, he likes to compete every three or four days or every time that I give him the chance to play.
“Harry is always motivated to play. After the training sessions he will work on his finishing alone with some keepers in the afternoon and that is the important thing – how he shows his character and his personality.
“When the ball is in the middle, he just likes to play football.”
