Harry has final word
24 May 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
It was the perfect end to Harry Kane’s perfect season.
The young striker took his tally to 21 goals in the Premier League and 31 in all competitions with the winner at Everton.
Harry’s header from Eric Dier’s pinpoint cross in the 24th minute was enough to win a game we dominated and lifted us up to fifth place in the final table.
He joins Teddy Sheringham (1992-93) and Gareth Bale (2012-13) in scoring a club-high 21 goals in a Premier League campaign.
“We wanted desperately to get the win because we knew Liverpool had a tough game at Stoke and it proved that way,” said Harry.
“We managed to get the win to move into fifth, so that’s great and I’m buzzing to get on the scoresheet again.
“In the first half we kept control of the ball, created chances and could have been a couple more up but credit to Everton, they stuck in there and made it tough for us.
“A win at Goodison Park is always a great result and to win the last two games of the season is always positive.
“We’ve a lot to learn without a doubt, we’re a young side but we’ve finish fifth, reached a cup final and had great experiences that we can all learn from.
“Now we have to build on it next season.”
