Harry draws the positives

Harry Redknapp felt we dominated Sunday's goalless derby draw against Arsenal.

Harry Redknapp felt we dominated Sunday's goalless derby draw against Arsenal.

There can be no question that we had the better chances over the 90 minutes but couldn't find a way past a determined Gunners side reduced to 10 men by Emmanuel Eboue's sending off in the 38th minute.

Manuel Almunia saved well from Aaron Lennon, Luka Modric and Wilson Palacios in the first half with Lennon also firing just wide.

In the second half Roman Pavlyuchenko curled over from close range, Robbie Keane headed onto the roof of the net and volleyed inches wide and then the best chance of the lot, Modric through one-on-one in injury time only for Almunia to save again.

At the other end, Eboue had a goal disallowed in the first half and after the break, Alex Song angled a shot wide from a corner and Carlo Cudicini's only save of note, tipping over Nicklas Bendtner's shot, also in added time.

"I thought when the game was 11 versus 11 we were the better side," said Harry.

"We started well, got corners, free-kicks, had opportunities and I felt we were much the better team.

"They hit us on the break a couple of times but in general we dominated up to half-time and in the second half we played in their half.

"Once they sat in with nine men behind the ball in the second half it was difficult to break them down.

"It was only in the last 10 minutes that they looked like hitting us on the break.

"Other than that, we were camped in their half. Robbie had a great chance with a header, he only had to hit the target from Aaron Lennon's cross and you'd have put your life on Modric, such a good player and finisher I felt sure he would score but it wasn't to be.

"We just needed a goal - if the little man scores at the end we all go home happy."
