Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Sol Campbell’s successful return, Steffen Freund playing 90 minutes, Willem Korsten’s hat-trick, our first competitive away win at senior level this season — you could say there were plenty of plus points for reserve team boss Chris Hughton to dwell on after his side’s excellent win at Forest on Tuesday night.
Naturally the spotlight — and the television cameras — was on Campbell’s comeback after almost 10 weeks out.
Chris commented: "I thought Sol did very well. You have two choices when you’ve been out for so long - you either look just to get through or you look to work at it and I thought he worked at it, he was prepared to come out with the ball from the back and a testament to him.
"Once you get out there you want to be involved and that probably just showed how much he had missed playing. You can tell he enjoyed the period of time he had on the pitch.
"He played for 65 minutes simply because of the period of time he’s been out. If it had been less time out we would have looked for him to come through 90 minutes. He’s been out for as long time and it’s not as if he’s played a couple of practice games.
"As a player there is nothing worse than being out and having to watch games and players train and we all know how valuable he is to the club. With some of the younger players being introduced to the squad you need as much experience around them as possible and Sol will certainly give them that.
"There is no return date pencilled in though. The first thoughts were was he going to play and having been out for so long this was his first step and he’s come through that with no problems. I presume the manager and medical staff will determine his progress from here."
It would be fair to say that Korsten stole the show with another hat-trick to remember — two sublime one-on-one finishes and a 30-yard cracker into the top corner.
"We all know Willem’s quality as he showed in the recent Leicester game," added Chris. "If he has space and time and opportunities to score he has a quality on the ball which we’ve seen tonight.
"The first goal was at a time when we needed a goal. I thought we were unfortunate to come in at half-time a goal down with the possession we had in the final third but it was one of those frustrating halves.
"We also conceded a bad goal. But I always thought we would have enough quality if we got into good enough areas that we would put the ball in the back of the net and as the game went on and opened up we were given that opportunity."
And then there was the first away win. "It has been long overdue," he stated. "Certainly at reserve team level we’ve had opportunities to win games but our form away from home with the first team as well has been no where near what our home form has been like. Hopefully we’ve changed a bit of that tonight."
