Happy Hans

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Hans Segers takes a goalkeeper's eye view of the season so far - and likes what he sees.

Paul Robinson's form has been rewarded with the England number one spot and goalkeeping coach Hans takes huge satisfaction from that and the fact he's kept three clean sheets in five games so far.

But Hans has also been delighted with the response of Kasey Keller, the improvement of Marton Fulop and attitude of Rob Burch.

"I'm absolutely over the moon with how the season has gone," beamed Hans at Spurs Lodge. "I'm delighted with how Paul has been playing and the icing on the cake, his call against Poland where he did a very good job.

"That's only the start. The hardest thing is now to keep him there and keep him in top form.

"I'm on his case and he's responded well so far. All we can do is keep going and hopefully he will start the next game in October.

"Kasey has been really good. He's got on with it. Training is no problem, he's trained hard and still very encouraging towards Robbo, if Robbo has a good match he'll go over and congratulate him.

"I'm very pleased with Marton. I've seen a big turn around from when he first came here when I told him that I was going to change one or two things with him technically.

"Burchy has been unfortunate in that he turned his ankle when he was on loan a Stevenage. But he's fit again and now we'll look at somewhere else. He's still a young lad and if he's not going to be successful here, he'll be successful somewhere else. That's what I've told him."

Hans admitted that the clean sheets against Newcastle, Birmingham and Norwich City give him huge satisfaction. Indeed, we've only conceded two goals in five games.

"For a goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach a clean sheet is the highlight of the week," he added.

"You work hard all week building up to the match and if you get a clean sheet, that's your job done.

"Three out of five is a very good return in the Premier League because it's not easy."
