Hans on the keepers

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Hans Segers described his goalkeepers as ‘buzzing’ on their return to training this week.

Coach Hans has five keepers under his charge this term — Paul Robinson, Radek Cerny, Marton Fulop, Rob Burch and Tommy Forecast.

And he revealed that's it's been early starts so far in pre-season with Paul as England's number one recovers from a knee injury.

He said: “Robbo has been given the go ahead to get back into training so I’m working with him first thing in the morning - we start at eight o’clock and he’s so keen to get going. He’s determined to get fully fit again.

“Radek is looking as sharp as ever and as I said before, his agility is second to none.

“Marton is absolutely buzzing after his international debut for Hungary against France in May.

“He’s on a real high and you can’t blame him. He’s very young but after only one year at Spurs he’s been selected and played for his national team.

“He’s walking around full of confidence. He’s a big lad anyway, six foot five, but at the moment he looks seven foot!

“Burchy has come back after last season where he had a bit of a nightmare in terms of injuries but he’s nice and fresh and looking forward to it.

“Tommy has come up from the Academy and he’s looking forward to a new challenge now he’s working with the big boys.

“Everyone is back and looking forward to it. We go to South Korea next week and it’s a challenge for every player to not just get into the team, but get into the squad.”
