Gylfi Sigurdsson described Sunday’s 3-1 victory at Swansea as 'a massive win'.
Emmanuel Adebayor struck twice with an own goal from Chico Flores securing maximum points at the Liberty Stadium.
The win took us up to fifth in the Premier League, level on points (43) with Liverpool, who were held by Villa at Anfield. Everton missed the chance to leapfrog back into fourth when they drew at West Brom on Monday night.
“I thought we played really well and could have scored more goals,” said Gylfi, back in action from the bench against his former team after missing four matches through a calf injury.
“Having said that, you are always happy with three goals away from home against a team that can cause anyone problems with the way they pass the ball and attack, but I thought we dealt with that really well.
“The first goal was a great goal, great timing as well. You could then see how confident Ade was when he scored his second goal. He was ice cold in front of goal.
"The league is so tight at the moment. People have rightly been talking about how well Liverpool have been doing this season, but now we're level on points."
