Gylfi: We gave it our all
As the dust settled on a thrilling 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, Gylfi Sigurdsson reflected on what might have been.
The lads showed great determination to come from behind twice as we gained a point at a ground we have notoriously struggled at in recent years.
Gylfi secured the draw with a fantastic finish late on after a flick from fellow goalscorer Emmanuel Adebayor and he still has hopes of a top four finish.
"I thought we were going to nick it in the end. It was disappointing to go behind inside 10 minutes but Ade scored a great goal or us to get back into it. Hopefully it will be a big point for us come the end of the season," the Icelandic midfielder told Spurs TV.
"I thought we started quite slowly. Chelsea were on top but we got back into it and at the end it was very open, we could have nicked it. We knew how important it could be to get the third goal, so we gave it our all. Chelsea had chances as well, perhaps 2-2 was about fair.
"We’ve two games left and Arsenal have two tough games, hopefully we’ll get six points and that will be enough. We’ve got Stoke and Sunderland; we have to make sure we’re ready on Sunday and try to get the three points."
