Gylfi Sigurdsson says he's back at 100 per cent and raring to go again.
The midfielder was a regular starter before a calf injury struck on Boxing Day against West Brom, forcing him out for three weeks.
But he returned off the bench in Sunday’s win against his former club Swansea and is now determined to play his part as we look to build on a run of five wins and a draw in our last six outings in the Premier League.
“The injury took a little longer than I expected, but it’s completely gone now and I feel 100 per cent again,” said Gylfi, who has scored four goals in 23 appearances in all competitions this term.
“The team is doing well and it’s nice to be available again.
“I thought we played well at Swansea, hopefully now we’ll get another good result against City and kick on again.
“The league is so tight at the moment. Everyone has talked about how well Liverpool have been doing this season, but we’re now level on points. We’re right in the mix.”
