Gus: Show what we can do!

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Gus Poyet says it is time to 'show what we can do' at White Hart Lane against Everton after disappointing outcomes in the two previous home games.

Since the defeats to Fulham and Southampton the team have rallied and picked up positive results against Coventry in the Carling Cup and Manchester City away in the Premiership. Gus knows that Everton will provide tough opposition, but insists the onus is on the team to succeed.

"I think it will be a difficult one, not because of them - because of us," he reasoned. "We have already had two bad games at home, we know we have let the supporters down and it is time to show what we can do.

"It adds to the excitement in some ways but, at the same time, you have to be clever and calm to play well for the full 90 minutes. There is a great attitude from the players, everybody is focused and thinking about the game.

"It is up to us to go out there and play from 3 o'clock - before and after doesn't matter really."

Gus added that a full 90 minute performance is essential whatever happens over the course of the game.

"I always take the opportunity to say to the supporters that football is a game and anything and everything can happen even in just one minute.

"You can go one up, play magnificent, go one down or get a player sent off for a bad decision - whatever. You have to be ready for everything, it is not just a case of going out and winning the game, that would be too easy.

"The supporters have been great and we are going to try and give everything. We know that we have to play better, we have to fight more, we run more. As they say in Spain, we have to play a full game, a complete football game.

"Let's see if we can produce something on Saturday."
