Gus set for four-midable test

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Gus Poyet was beaming after returning to action and helping us beat Bolton on Sunday but knows the next four games will test our Premiership aspirations to the full.

The midfielder set up Robbie Keane's second goal of the afternoon with his first touch after coming off the bench to put us 2-1 up with 20 minutes to go. Simon Davies then wrapped it up in injury time.

It was Gus' first Premiership appearance of the season after sustaining a knee injury in July and with our toughest-looking run of league matches to follow against Liverpool, Chelsea, Sunderland and Arsenal, he's timed his return to perfection.

He pointed out: "It's fantastic to be third and I'm now looking at the next four games. They are very important. After that we can perhaps start talking about what we can do.

"We've got Liverpool, Chelsea, Sunderland and Arsenal and after those games I will tell you.

"It was a great team effort against Bolton, we passed the ball beautifully in the last 10 minutes and deserved to win. But we must remain focused."

Gus later revealed his fear that he might not have got on at all - Bolton equalised when he was initially stripping off on the bench.

"It was funny," he said. "We were 1-0 up and I was about to go on, they scored and then I'm on the touchline saying 'I want to play'.

"I was waiting for the chance. As I said the other day, it didn't matter if it was five minutes, I would give my best.

"I'm just pleased we won. When you come back, that's all you want."

And he had praise for Matty Etherington, whose place he took, after another tireless display of wing play.

"Matt was excellent and made the right-back run more than ever and that made it easier for me to come in and do a little more. As I said, it was a great team effort."
