Gus on Forlan
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Gus Poyet believes his fellow Uruguayan Diego Forlan is set for a scoring streak - but will ask him to kick-start it after Saturday!
Forlan finally ended his barren spell in front of goal for Manchester United when he buried a penalty against Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday. It was his first goal at the 27th attempt.
Gus, capped 27 times by Uruguay, helped Forlan 'with a few things' when he arrived at United in January and has stayed in contact since.
The midfielder, speaking at Spurs Lodge on Thursday afternoon, revealed: "I called Diego this morning and he's called me back, I've missed it but I will return it again.
"I think it will be very, very good news for him. I don't know if it will be good news for us because normally strikers score that first one and then keep on scoring.
"Strikers, they just need to score that one. Perhaps I will now tell him to go back to the bench!
"He needed to score that goal, for his confidence, for everyone at the club. Now we will see how good a player he is.
"I saw him play in Argentina, knew all about his move and I helped him with a few things when he arrived and we're still in touch. I was very pleased when he played so well in the World Cup.
"I'm sure he will do well now. He's sharp, quick and he can score goals. He's a very good player for Manchester United."
As for Saturday's game, you can almost feel Gus's disappointment that he's missing out as he recovers from minor knee surgery. It's recovery that's going well, by the way - he's back in non-contact training with the squad.
"This is a beautiful game to play," said Gus. "One of the best moments. But don't think it's about United, it's about us, about Tottenham going there, enjoying it, playing football and scoring goals. After that, we'll see."
