Green light for Simon
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Davies has been given the go-ahead to resume full training as he steps up his recovery from an energy-sapping viral infection.
The Welsh midfielder, dogged by injuries over the last year, has been slowly recovering from a virus that has kept him sidelined since November.
"It's the final weight off my shoulders," said Simon this afternoon. "As I explained before, the virus knocked me for six and I didn't have the energy to do what I wanted to do. I felt drained.
"I've actually been woking for about a month, gradually stepping up, working at certain levels without putting too much pressure on my body and now I can kick on.
"I've trained with the group again and it's been great to get out there with the lads.
"My fitness feels good with the work I've already done so now it's all about getting my sharpness back."
Since his initial hip trouble back in September 2003, he's featured in just 27 of a possible 67 first team games.
"It's been a tough time but it feels like I'm getting somewhere at last," he added. "It's almost like starting again for me."
