Great feeling - Christian

Mon 15 December 2014, 09:45|Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen was delighted to produce another late, late show to win at Swansea – but admitted he'd rather wrap things up earlier!

Sunday marked the fourth occasion this season we’ve won in such dramatic fashion on the road after victories at West Ham, Villa and Hull.

And it was the second time Christian had delivered the knockout blow after firing home in similar circumstances at Hull last month.

This time around he received a pass from Ben Davies and arrowed a low drive home from the edge of the box with 88:58 on the clock.

Earlier, Harry Kane powered home a header from Christian’s corner for 1-0 inside four minutes but Swansea responded and carved out the better chances, levelled through Wilfried Bony on 48 minutes and put us under pressure but the tide was turning late on when Christian did the business again.

“It’s always a great feeling to score in the last minute but personally I would rather win earlier and have a quieter game,” said Christian at the Liberty Stadium.

"It's a great feeling to do it again.

“It was also my first assist, so I’m relieved about that.

“We defended well, they had a few big chances and we knew at times they would have more of the ball and we’d have to defend.

“We’re just happy with the three points, no matter who scores or how and that gives us all a great feeling.”
