Sandro's wonder goal against United proved a poignant moment for the popular midfielder.
The Brazilian's strike is right up there in the voting for our Goal of the Season - currently led by Gylfi Sigurdsson's belter against Hull City in the Capital One Cup - and has already claimed the GOTS prize from our Supporters Clubs.
Sandro twisted left and right away from Tom Cleverley before letting rip, his shot flying into the top corner in the 2-2 draw against Reds at the Lane on December 1.
Sidelined for nine months by a serious knee injury sustained at QPR in January, 2013, Sandro had gradually worked his way back into the team in Europa League action before returning to the line-up in the Premier League at Villa in October.
United represented his fifth start in the Premier League after that lay-off and his goal his first in the Premier League since another belter at Fulham two years earlier to the day.
"It was an unbelievable goal and a good feeling because I was injured for a long time, came back and to score that beautiful goal at home was amazing," he said.
"Everyone was happy for me, everyone sent me messages, everyone knew I was injured and had a bad time but with this goal, everything was good again."
