Gorman on Bolton test

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

John Gorman believes that the game against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Monday could well be a 'technical' encounter.

Our assistant boss points to a number of flair players in the Bolton side and feels that the game will be anything but a scrap - even though Bolton are striving for points to secure Premiership survival.

After a defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, Bolton travelled to the Stadium of Light last week and spoiled Mick McCarthy's Sunderland baptism with a comfortable 2-0 win.

"I watched them play at Liverpool and honestly felt that they are a much improved football team," commented John.

"They've got a lot of foreign players now - the following game against Sunderland I don't think they had one British player in the team. No disrespect to the old Bolton teams, they really are a passing team now and have a lot of players in the side who really want to play football.

"It will be a different type of game, still hard and physical, but technical as well."

However, John did express some concern over the condition of the playing surface at the Reebok.

"I looked at their pitch on the last tape we saw and they play a lot of American football on it, which is a bit of a surprise with the way they want to play and pass.

"It will be a very interesting game because they've got players like Okocha, Djorkaeff, Mendy and Gardner to name a few. Campo, who plays in midfield now, gets the ball and tries to play good football every time he gets it.

"I think it will be a very technical game."
