Goran's a happy Bunje
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Goran Bunjevcevic is a happy man at the moment - and not just because of the recent six-point haul.
The Yugoslav says there is naturally a good feeling around the camp following the six-point haul from the games against Everton and Aston Villa. On a personal note, the stylish defender is delighted to have finally put a run of games together in a Spurs shirt after a nightmare debut season.
Goran played only eight games in all competitions last season after an impressive beginning following his signing from Red Star Belgrade. A fractured jaw and tendonitis in the knees effectively killed off his campaign.
This season, the 29-year-old has played a huge part, featuring in 24 games already and has displayed his versatility in a variety of positions. It is fair to say from speaking to the likeable Goran, that he has his eyes firmly fixed on the playing fields of Europe.
"Of course, this has been a great season for me. It hasn't finished yet - I want to get to Europe and do well. We are now only focused on the Premiership which is most important to us.
"Everyone is happy and it is going the right way for us - the two wins were very important. It was very hard, I have to say, but I think we deserved to win.
"As I said, I am really, really happy with everything that has happened around me this season. I know I can do better, but I am so happy because I am now playing regularly at last.
"You see injuries at every club so you have to be happy when you are playing."
With Newcastle looming on the horizon, Goran feels that it is a game of some magnitude for the club.
"Newcastle is coming at home and I think this is maybe the key game for us. Everything is going well, everyone is getting fit and I think it is going to be really interesting for us.
"We have had lots of days to prepare for this game and we need to do well to get into the European places. This will be a key moment in our season so I hope we can do everything to well."
