Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle has once again outlined why he opted for experience in the summer transfer market - a decision that seems to be paying dividends.
Signings Teddy, Gus and Christian are certainly making things happen on the pitch at the moment, along with the likes of Steffen Freund, Les Ferdinand and Darren Anderton - all experienced campaigners at the highest level.
Some questioned whether the arrival of the new boys would hinder the progress of talented thrusters like Simon Davies, Gary Doherty, Ledley King, Alton Thelwell, Anthony Gardner and Matthew Etherington, who all did so much in difficult circumstances last season.
Glenn looks at it a different way, pointing out that playing with proven winners will only be of benefit to young players, while Ledley already looks a fixture and Gary is recovering from a broken leg.
"I thought the players we had here at the moment in time I arrived were not ready to win things and achieve.
"The three players we bought in nearly straight away - Teddy, Gus and Christian - have all won things, accomplished things and are experienced.
"I felt that balance between the young players that we've got here and those type of players will rub off well on the youngsters.
"In 18 months time I'm hoping that some of the youngsters will know how to win things and in a couple of years we'll look back and see what we were building. For the short-term, the players we bought in are the right players for this moment in time and add to the experience of the youngsters themselves."
Glenn, however, does feel that the younger element of the squad will have a big part to play this season.
"There will be injuries, fatigue, and we're vigilent of that."
