Glenn's top-five measure

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn says that featuring in the Premiership's top five is no more than a confidence booster at the moment.

Spurs hit the top quarter following Monday night's 3-2 victory over Bolton, but Glenn feels it means little at this point in the season.

"I think it give us no more than confidence and a belief in ourselves - no more than that," insisted Glenn.

"It doesn't mean anything at this stage of the season, but it's better than being in the bottom half of the league that's for sure.

"There are things happening here that are positive at this moment in time, there is a good buzz about the place - and long may that continue. But it will only continue with hard work."

Glenn added that Sergei Rebrov and the returning Steffen Iversen can expect increased involvement over the busy Christmas period.

"There's no reason why anyone should think any different," said Glenn of Sergei. "He gives us a different option to Les and there are times when he is suited.

"We sat the lads down a couple of days ago and stated that we've got eight games in December and we will be using the squad. It's not rotation, we'll be using it depending on who we're playing against and what we think will cause them problems.

"And that will be Sergei in the team, Les in the team, Steffen Iversen is coming back and playing reserve football now so we've got good options."

A steadfast option for Glenn remains the evergreen Teddy, and the boss feels that the skipper is an example to all.

"For me, I delighted with his form. If there had been a camera on him for 90 minutes out there against Bolton, I don't think I've ever seen Teddy work so hard.

"That is a great example from him as a captain. He knows he is coming to the end of his career, he's got two or three years left, and I think he's enjoying every minute of it.

"He's got a love for the game, a passion for the game. It's not a difficult game to play if you've got that. The same as Gus, they're very similar, they've both got this burning ambition and desire, they know they've had a wonderful career and they want to continue that.

"If they keep putting the ball in the back of net as they are - long may that continue.

"The amount of hard work is a great example to the young players. Him and Gus and Les, the work they put in and the standard they set - that is the example set for our youngsters.

"That's got to be good for the future of the club."
