Glenn's three steps
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Three steps to Europe - that's the message from Glenn Hoddle before tonight's Worthington Cup clash against Bolton.
Wanderers arrive at the Lane for the second time in eight days for the quarter-final tie as the chance of a cup final and place in the UEFA Cup draws ever closer.
Boss Glenn insisted: "What I'll be saying to the players is that if these were the final three matches of the season, three matches to go and if you win all three you are in Europe, that's what we've got ahead of us.
"It's exactly the same in this competition. If we win three matches we're in Europe.
"If we were told that or of we could see that in our last three matches of the season then they would be massive matches, wouldn't they. These are no different.
"The reward is at the end of these three matches. We'll take one at a time obviously, but if we have that hunger and desire to play in Europe then the incentive is there to go and beat Bolton."
Naturally disappointed by Saturday's Premiership defeat at Charlton, Glenn sees this as the perfect opportunity to bounce back - and he wants the fans to play their part.
He added: "What we do want is the crowd to really get behind the team.
"Those who watched the league game here or on television know Bolton made it very difficult for us.
"We will have to be patient, the fans will have to be patient if they play the same way but not only patient - we also want them to lift the roof off the stadium.
"There is a semi-final at stake and a possible pathway into Europe. That is what we should all be looking for - fans, players, management and the board."
11/2 on a third 2-0 Spurs home win over Bolton in six and that becomes 25/1 if Poyet nets first or 40/1 if Anderton bags the opener - click here for details.
