Glenn's joy for flying Dutchman

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle heaped praise on two-goal hero Willem Korsten after our final day victory against champions Manchester United.

The flying Dutchman scored one of the goals of the season to open the scoring — a superb, dipping lob from 25 yards — and then grabbed the vital second goal as we ran out 3-1 winners.

Willem has spent most of the season in the reserves and, by his own admission, has struggled to make an impact in the first team.

Boss Glenn said of Willem on his arrival that there was ‘a player waiting to get out’. We can assume that player is now starting to emerge.

A delighted Glenn enthused: “I've seen from afar that Willem has talent, I've seen in training that he has talent, and now I've seen it in the Premier League.

“He tends to hang wide and I want him to come off his perch a bit more, but he is a player who I feel has a lot of ability.

“We scored three wonderful goals today and that is what the fans come to see.”
