Glenn's joy at great week
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Goal hero Les Ferdinand will look to drain the fluid on his troublesome ankle on Monday after Glenn Hoddle revealed he was only 75 per cent fit on Saturday.
Les scored the Premiership's 10,000th goal by opening our account in the impressive 4-0 win against Fulham.
It was 149th league goal of his distinguished career and earned him a £10,000 cheque for charity courtesy of Premiership sponsors Barclaycard.
Glenn revealed: "Les played probably 75 per cent fit. We wanted to start him but he's still got an ankle problem that we will now try to get addressed.
"We discussed it and I felt for this game, coming off the back of a hat-trick, I wanted him to start, if he could. If not he would have to say.
"We tried him in training on Friday and I was happy with what I saw. He scored the winning goal in the eight-a-side and that was good enough!
"He's been brave and courageous and it's been a great week for him.
"He scored his hat-trick on Tuesday and now this goal. It's wonderful for a Spurs player to get it and with Les in the autumn of his career, it's a great achievement."
The 10,000th goal was the icing of the cake of a clinical performance against a side that travelled to Liverpool on Wednesday and deserved a goalless draw.
Glenn reflected: "We've scored 10 goals in a week, two clean sheets, you can't ask for more than that.
"There was some clinical finishing and at times some very clinical moves against a side that has just gone to Anfield and got a draw up there.
"It's a significant result for us in the way that, in the end, we put them to the sword."
