Glenn's healthy balance

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn reflected on the Arsenal game and explained that success is all about getting the balance right.

Recent performances have had a bit of everything - mostly style coupled with substance, but always done in the right way.

"I want the team to play a certain way and you have to get the balance right," said Glenn. "I think we're getting the balance, it's there or thereabouts, but we've always got to improve and work on more.

"We're passing the ball well and have good technical players to do it. They are working hard for each other and that's important - you've always got to have that collective strength.

"I was pleased with some of our football, we got it down, and were precise at times with some of our passing.

"Of course there was passsion, and niggles. The ref did very well, it's always a difficult game to referee, but he did well.

"I felt we really showed two sides to what's needed if we're really going to achieve anything. That is the resilience, the character, plus the way we defended and attacked.

"If we perform like that we've got a chance of being consistent, this club hasn't been consistent over the years if you really analsyse it.

"If we keep performing like we have done this season - we've got to get a couple more wins to get that belief against the bigger teams and we've deserved them - it hasn't quite happened but we've got a point here today and we can build on it."

Meanwhile, Glenn added that playing in the middle of the park is the key to bringing out the best in the resurgent Darren Anderton.

"He sees the picture, he's got great vision and sees the pass. From wide, with no disrespect and he's had to play there for different reasons, he's probably lost a little bit of pace.

"It cuts down his range of passing, this is the Beckham scenario, it cuts down your range if you're not playing in the centre. That's where I wanted him to play when we got him fit.

"He's played consistently this season."
