Glenn: We'll appeal
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle confirmed that the club intends to appeal over Chris Perry's sending off in Saturday's defeat at Middlesbrough.
The defender received a straight red card from referee Uriah Rennie following a challenge with Szilard Nemeth.
But the incident appeared to take place outside the box, there appeared to be little contact and Nemeth had lost control of the ball.
Already 1-0 down, Juninho scored the penalty and we were suddenly 2-0 down and down to 10 men. It ended up 5-1.
"We certainly will appeal against it," stressed Glenn. "We'll be looking at it.
"Even in the game when it happened I didn't feel it was a red card, I thought it would be a free-kick on the edge of the box.
"But as soon as the referee ran over there you could tell he was looking for his red card. And when he gave the penalty as well - that sort of decision kills you."
Chris was naturally despondant afterwards, as Glenn revealed. "He's adamant it was outside the penalty and adamant that there was hardly any contact made. The lad had knocked it out of his feet as well, the ball was Kasey's."
