The Club was saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Glenn Weaver, Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Ladies FC, on Thursday (February 19).

Glenn - pictured above with Gary Mabbutt - was involved with Spurs Ladies from the start, when the club was formed as Broxbourne Ladies in 1985 before becoming Tottenham Hotspur Ladies in 1991.

He worked tirelessly as the club continued to grow and grow, playing an integral role behind the scenes to help Spurs Ladies to where they are today - challenging for a top four place in the FA Women's Premier League South, into the fourth round of the FA Women's Cup for the first time in 20 years and into the Ryman Cup Final, where they will face Charlton Athletic Ladies.

The club now runs three senior teams, a development side and teams at Under-17, 15, 14, 13 and 11 age groups.

"Glenn was involved in absolutely everything at the club," said first team manager Karen Hills, our Girls and Women's Development Officer.

"He played a part in every team, from looking after the kit to helping out with admin, to organising fixtures and attending meetings, organising trials - he even refereed games for us!

"He was kind, honest, loyal and a Spurs fan through and through, a Season Ticket Holder who loved the club.

"For Spurs Ladies, he's irreplaceable.

"Our thoughts go out to his family at this very sad time."
