Glenn wary of shock potential

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle is determined that our name is not added to Tranmere's list of giant-killings this weekend.

The Second Division outfit travel to the Lane on Sunday for an FA Cup fifth round tie.

In the last two seasons Rovers have beaten Leeds, Everton, Coventry City (when they were in the Premiership), Middlesbrough, Sunderland and the one Glenn has been reminded of all week - famously coming from 3-0 down to beat his Southampton side 4-3 in last season's FA Cup.

Glenn insisted he had already 'buried' that memory by beating Rovers 4-0 in the Worthington Cup in October.

Asked about it on Thursday, he said: "Those things happen and keep happening and that's the magic of the competition.

"I've already buried that one and this is a different set of circumstances.

"We'll try and get on the front foot and be positive. We know they are a giant-killing side and we have to make sure we don't become an extra scalp for their collection."

Glenn was quick to point out that October's win 'means nothing' as we aim for a place in the last eight.

He added: "We'll give the the highest respect, it goes without saying.

"Jason Koumas is a good player, ready for the step up and they have a great work ethic.

"We've been there once in the Worthington Cup, got a good result but that means nothing. We'll be focused and look to give a professional performance."
