Glenn: More to come
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn says that, while results have improved on this time last season, performances have yet to reach the same level.
It was against Southampton at the Lane last season that our first three-point haul was registered in September.
We are now only just into the month and ten points are on the board from four games. Glenn feels that this is very much a positive sign and hopes, with the return of players from injury, there is more to come as the season develops.
"We've had a better start, result-wise, than last year, while we're not playing as well as then as a football team," reasoned Glenn.
"So, in a way, I think that bodes well. We've still got six or seven players out that can bolster our squad up. When they are fit I'm hoping we can prolong our season better than we did last season.
"We had too many injuries for too long last year, which hurt us. If we can keep our squad fit we've got a chance of becoming more consistent.
"Nothing is achieved yet though, we're only four games into the season."
Glenn adds that the penalty award against Southampton was justified, but felt the sending off of Michael Svensson was harsh.
"I've got to say I thought it was a penalty because the ball would have gone in the back of the net.
"I didn't think it was a sending off, common sense has got to come into play. For Southampton and the lad it would be nice if video evidence was looked at, but it's out of my hands.
"Gordon would have been pleased with their performance but when you're playing well you've got to win. As Southampton manager I've experience that many times and last year that happened here.
"I would say, from my side of the camp, that we played 'okay' and won."
