Glenn hits back at 'bust-up' stories

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle has reacted angrily to reports of bust-ups with Stephen Carr and Steffen Iversen.

A Sunday newspaper suggested that Stephen's future at the club was in doubt following a row with a member of the coaching staff at last month's training camp at La Manga.

On Monday, another report said that boss Glenn had fallen out with Steffen on the first day back at training amidst suggestions that he had returned to training out of shape. That report can soon be shot down - Glenn wasn't even at our first day back on Friday.

Glenn fumed: "It's a total mystery. It's very annoying when thse types of stories come out. You take it with a pinch of salt when so-and-so is interested buying so-and-so or there's a bid from someone or we're buying someone - I was meant to be in a hotel with Gomes last week, which wasn't the case - but you smile to yourself because that's the way of the football world at the moment.

"But when it comes to two incidents like these, Stephen Carr's report about a bust-up with a member of staff in La Manga, nothing could be further from the truth. It's his first time back in full training and he's had a great week there and it's just total lies.

"It's the same with Steffen Iversen. It's a pack of lies. He's meant to have had a bust-up with me on the first day of training. Absolute rubbish.

"They are very annoying and the people who write this stuff should have a look at themselves.

"It really does get up your nose when these stories come out and that's why I want to make sure everyone out there, particularly Spurs fans, knows that it's absolute rubbish.

"Some things make you smile but sometimes we have to put our point of view across."
