Glenn: Confidence the key
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle insists that increased confidence is the key to, once again, unlocking the undoubted talent in the side.
He admits that the recent disappointments have knocked the confidence within the team and insists everyone must pull together until a turning point comes along - which he hopes is Coventry in the Carling Cup on Wednesday evening.
"When a team is playing and functioning with a lot of confidence the talent comes out," reflected Glenn. "We've got to earn the right to get into that position and that means a lot of hard work as a team.
"It isn't going to happen on an individual basis, everyone has got to pull together. I have been in football long enough to know that there are turning points - if we were talking 20 games into the season it might be different.
"The frustration and hurt for me at the moment is that I love this club so much, having played here for many, many years. It is more hurt than pressure that I feel, but I know we can turn it around.
"I am aware of the pressure from outside, but I saw how our fans got behind the team and how they got behind me personally before the game and during the game.
"It's six games into the season and we need a turning point. It might just come at Coventry on Wednesday.
"We are prepared and we will work together - players and management. There is frustration and disappointment but the spirit is good and we have enough time and talented players to get ourselves out of this problem."
