Ginola backs Glenn

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

David Ginola has backed the Glenn Hoddle regime to restore success to the Lane.

The former Spurs favourite returns with Aston Villa on Saturday and expects the occasion to the one of the most emotional in his career

"They have at last got a man in charge who is capable of bringing back the glory, glory days to Tottenham Hotspur football club," said David, who departed just ahead of the current campaign.

"Glenn will bring a different style of play to the club, and hopefully for the fans it will mean an improvement in their fortunes. He was a legend as a player for Spurs, and I am sure that he will do everything he can to become a legend as a manager too.

"Glenn has already spoken about improvements he can make to the club. For example he plans to bring in a chiropractor to work with the players in a bid to reduce injuries, and a team-building expert to talk to the players and help them prepare for matches.

"I think that Glenn will bring a more professional approach to the club, in terms of the medical side, the diet and the preparation for matches. It will be a more Continental style, because Glenn learnt a lot when he played in France about how they approach the game as a whole.

"The Spurs fans will be expecting to see a more entertaining style of play from their team and Glenn knows that the fans and the club want results with class."

Ginola, who has struggled to make an impact at Villa Park, still holds strong feelings for Spurs and the fans who worshipped him.

"My return to White Hart Lane on Saturday will be one of the most emotional moments in my career. I had such a happy time when I was at Tottenham that in many ways it will be difficult to go there with a different team."

"I still get so much fan mail from Spurs supporters, mostly asking me when I am coming back, and it is very flattering to know that they feel this way.

"Everyone was so nice to me at Spurs, I never had any problems there, which is why it makes it difficult to go back with a different club. I am sure it will be a special game, and I hope I am part of it."
