Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn Hoddle conceded that we made it 'too easy' for Chelsea in Saturday's Premiership defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Two goals in as many minutes cancelled out Fredi Kanoute's opener in the first half, Adrian Mutu made it 3-1 with 20 minutes left, Kanoute struck again to give us late hope at 3-2 before Jimmy Hasselbaink tapped home the clincher.

"I felt the four goals were poor defensively to give away," said Glenn. "To allow your goalkeeper to have three one-on-ones in any game of football is poor defending.

"We made individual errors, wrong decisions and let them get behind us too easily.

"We've given a stupid fourth goal away but at 3-2 you never know, we might have got a draw out of it.

"Unless we improve that it won't matter how much good football we play, something we certainly did in the first 35 minutes, because we will always be on the back foot.

"The goals they scored were too easy and that's something we must improve on if we want to achieve anything. But there were a lot of positives as well, not all negatives."

We've come here to a club full of world-class players and made it too easy for them.

BZ: In a way it would have been nice for him to score instead of Fredi. He's a good young player and he's doing fine. He'll acclimatise and he'll get confidence when he scores that first goal.

They have an array of talent, two teams. That's the strength they've got. If you are playing against that talent you can't afford to defend how we defended and expect to get a result.

Glenn Hoddle was most disappointed

I wouldn't say we collapsed but we didn't show enough resilience to hang in there. We did that at Liverpool, hung in there. That's what I said to the players after. It will happen, you will concede goals and it's how you react after conceding them and get through a period of time. If we'd have got in at 1-1 at half-time it might have been a different story but we conceded a stupid goal straight after the first. They were all difficult goals for a coach to take and we have to improve.

Glenn Hoddle expects Ledley King to be out for 'a few weeks' after picking up a hamstring injury at Chelsea on Saturday.

The defender limped out of the action at Stamford Bridge after 41 minutes of our 4-2 Premiership defeat.

It's another blow for the 22-year-old after he missed most of pre-season with an ankle problem.

"Ledley's got a hamstring and that's the disappointing side to it," said Glenn. "He'll be out for a few weeks."

There were a lot of positives and it wasn't all negatives. Fredi's performance was very strong. When he's in that form and in that mood he's very difficult to play against.

I said to the players we have to show the resilience we showed against Leeds at hom when we went 1-0 down. We turned that game around. This time, the key moment came when we lost that first goal. That's when we've got to react better. We spoke about it, a constructive talk and we'll talk about it next week.

There is no more pressure on me now than when I first walked into this club. The pressure comes from within. I want to win matches, every coach does. But external pressure I'm not too worried about, it's within the club where we make the decisions, the communication and that's no different from the first day. We just have to make sure we get back to winning ways next week.
