Georgia on Hughton's mind
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
In this video special Chris Hughton, in his role as Ireland's assistant boss, takes a look at the Spurs contingent in the Irish squad for Saturday's Euro 2004 qualifier in Georgia.
Stephen Carr and Gary Doherty are expected to feature in a vital Group 10 clash but it is unclear whether or not Robbie Keane will join the squad following the sad loss of his father on Monday night.
Chris is delighted to report Stephen's progress following 18 months of injury agony.
"This season he's got better and better," said Chris, our first team coach. "Unfortunately he missed all of last season and that was a very frustrating period of time for him but he gives us a wonderful option at right-back.
"We're all very aware of his qualities going forward but defensively as well he's always done well for us.
"Gary is, in effect, an old-fashioned target man, an old-fashioned number nine.
"The benefit is that Gary has been playing in a centre-forward position for a while now and most of the work we've done with him has been as a centre-forward.
"If I look at the Scotland game, his hold-up play was excellent and he's a player who can bring other players into the game."
As for Robbie's situation, Chris added: "The one thing we have to do and have done is respect his wishes and the wishes of his family and we've left it at that."
