Gareth seeks repeat

Gareth Bale is looking to repeat Sunday's performance against West Ham when we take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane tonight.

The flying winger was in fine form against the Hammers and scored the second goal - sandwiched between Jermain Defoe's double - in the 3-1 victory.

Liverpool at the Lane is always one of the glamour fixtures of the season and Gareth said the players can't wait as we target back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

“Everyone enjoys the big games at the Lane, whether it’s the players who are playing or the fans who are watching and this is a match-up between two of the biggest clubs in the country," Gareth tells tonight's official matchday programme.

“It’s a big test for us but as I said, the confidence is high and we’ll take that into tonight’s game. It’s a home match and we need to be picking up three points whoever we are playing. If we put in another performance like we did on Sunday, then I’m sure we will get the win.

“Obviously Liverpool have their danger men, players like Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard, but we’ll aim to nullify their threats like we did against West Ham on Sunday. If we can keep those key players subdued then we’ll have a better chance.”
