Gareth bowls us over!

06 October 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

It’s not often we get to say that we have an England cricketer here in our ranks at Tottenham Hotspur.

However, let’s take the opportunity to congratulate Gareth Jones, Senior Equalities and Inclusion Co-Ordinator at the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, for his inclusion in the Visually Impaired England cricket squad for the January 2017 tour to India.

Gareth has been at the Foundation for nearly 10 years and has played a key role in our groundbreaking programmes that have helped create over 13,000 sporting opportunities for people with disabilities both at home and abroad.

Visually Impaired cricket is an adaptation of the mainstream game using a significantly larger ball filled with ball bearings and has been played on an international level for the past 20 years.
