Anthony Gardner reveals that he hopes to be back training in two weeks time.
The sure-footed central defender suffered a hamstring tear against Chelsea at the beginning of February - a huge blow considering he has battled with knee and thigh problems already this term.
But Anthony reports that progress is being made.
"Not bad, it's getting better slowly, but getting better. I went to see a doctor in Italy and had an injection in my back that will help it settle down a bit quicker.
"Hopefully that will help and we'll see what happens over the next couple of days. I hope to back training in two weeks.
"I still feel a bit of tightness in there but the doctor says that should clear up and that the tear has healed. I should be back quite sharpish."
Anthony admits that the Stamford Bridge blow did hit him hard, especially given the form his was displaying at the time.
"More than most because I'd had the knee problem and thought I was back. I was wondering what I had to do to play a few games without any problems.
"I want to get back into the swing of things quite quickly because I don't have much time to play with. There is not long left so hopefully I can get a few games in before the end of the season."
