Tottenham HotspurZeki Fryers is relishing the chance to get acquainted with sides from the MLS on this summer’s Tour of the USA and Canada.
We’ll face Seattle Sounders, Toronto FC and Chicago Fire during July’s trip as we continue our preparations for the 2014-15 campaign.
Defender Zeki , who made 16 first team appearances for us last term, knows all about the high-profile nature of the top flight on the other side of the Atlantic – and as such he’s thrilled at the prospect of playing against some of the giants of the MLS this summer.
“There’s a lot of publicity surrounding the MLS and there’s a lot more awareness of the league itself than perhaps there once was,” said Zeki, who also turned out for our Development Squad last season alongside Grant Ward – our young midfielder currently enjoying game time in the MLS through his loan spell at Chicago Fire.
“There’s a lot of talent over there – big teams with big fan bases – and it’s moving forward.
“It’s going to be unbelievable to go there and experience the atmosphere and meet the teams.
“I’m looking forward to it, it will be great.”
