Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Paul Konchesky suspects that having a couple of familiar faces around Spurs Lodge will only help him with the settling in process.
Of course, our loan recruit from Charlton adds to the seemingly ever-increasing Senrab contingent at the club - Senrab (Barnes spelt backwards) being the youth football side that has been something of a prolific provider of Premiership footballers.
The others from this production line at Spurs are Ledley King and Bobby Zamora and Paul feels such company will assist in easing into life at a new club.
"That's right and it's good for me two know those two boys. I think it will make it bit easier for me," said Paul, currently on England U21 duty.
It was clear from his tone that Paul was making no attempt to contain his excitement over the opportunity to make an impression at Spurs.
"I am excited, I know a few of the boys and it is a great big London club to me. If I was going to stay in London Tottenham would be the side.
"There has been a lot of speculation about me this summer. I was on the transfer list and I want to play first team football. I think I'm going to get a good opportunity here at Tottenham and I want to grab it with both hands.
"Charlton have done well but, for me, I need to play football. I wasn't playing at Charlton and I think I've got a great opportunity in coming here. I just can't wait."
Paul played for the England under-21s against Macedonia and the team now travels to Goodison Park to face Portugal. After that comes a possible Spurs baptism at Chelsea - a prospect that doesn't exactly faze him.
"They've paid a lot of money out this summer and everyone has got to face them at some time. I just want to get in there and start playing."
