Earlier this week, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation piloted a recruitment programme with Nando’s to help local people find jobs with local employers.
Over 50 unemployed young people attended the training day at Nando’s in Walthamstow where the Foundation and senior managers from the restaurant chain delivered a number of activities to help make participants more job ready.
By the end of the day, two young people had secured a job with Nando’s and a further few invited to attend trial shifts at the Walthamstow restaurant.
Omar, a participant on the day, said: “It was one of the best decisions I have made attending the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Nando’s recruitment day. I have learnt so much and know it will help me to be more confident in interviews.”
