Foundation shortlisted in Pro-Active London Awards
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Pro-Active London Awards.
The annual awards celebrate the contributions made by the thousands of people who work at grass roots level, making it possible for Londoners to take part and enjoy a wide range of sports and activities.
Foundation member of staff Allison Sharman has been shortlisted within the Inclusive and Active Champion category for her passion and commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities across North London, while Edward Kargbo has been shortlisted for Young Volunteer of the Year.
Edward has volunteered for the past two years at the Foundation’s Northumberland Park Kickz project every Thursday and Friday evening, assisting staff with the set-up and running of sessions.
In addition, White Hart Lane Tennis Club has again been shortlisted for the Club of the Year Award.
The Tennis Club has successfully introduced the sport into East Haringey, a part of London where previously there were no opportunities to play tennis.
The Awards will take place on Friday 26 April 2013 at The Kia Oval.
