Foundation launches Skills programme in Brent
20 December 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation launched their Skills programme in Brent with a mini tournament.
Teams representing Tottenham Hotspur, Queen’s Park Rangers, and London United faced off in the shadow of the Wembley Arch.
The new programme, which will be run in partnership with the QPR Foundation, aims to encourage collaborative work and community cohesion. Almost 30 young people, from a number of different London boroughs, took part in the tournament, where the games were played in good spirits and a competitive nature.
The aim of the Skills programme is to run four- to six-week road show activity sessions, in and around the London Borough of Brent, working alongside a number of community groups to encourage young people to take part in physical skilled activities.
Richard Allicock, Community Development manager for the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, believes the Skills programme will “help young people in Brent and the surrounding boroughs to gain a variety of life skills, while working together with their peers.”
