Football Development partnership with Andromeda, Dallas, a success
Our Football Development's successful tour of the USA culminated in a week-long Player/Coach Development Programme in Dallas.
The FD team worked alongside Andromeda FC Academy staff as part of a coach mentoring programme to deliver coaching sessions to players of all age-groups of the club, working alongside the Andromeda coaching staff as part of our coach mentoring programme which is incorporated alongside our Elite Player Development sessions.
Aaron Jacobs, Director of Coaching, Andromeda FC U16/U18 Academy, said: "Mark Jones worked with our U16 Academy players and conducted practices with such enthusiasm and passion.
"His knowledge and expertise was evident and the coaches were able to communicate and convey, at times with humour, each session in detail.
"The players were positive, learnt a great deal and responded to Mark immediately. It was a tremendous camp and a privilege to have Mark and all the rest of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Development Staff with us."
Jay Dane, U18 Development Academy Head Coach Andromeda FC, added: "The Tottenham staff brought over a lot of energy and enthusiasm when working with our groups. The sessions flowed very well and the content was just what I was after from a technical and tactical standpoint, the players worked their socks off and got loads out of the two days."
Following the tour, the FD team welcomed Andromeda Under-16s Academy for a week-long residential programme as part of the full Tottenham Hotspur experience.
Players have taken part in specifically designed coaching sessions led by our Football Development staff at Spurs Lodge, Chigwell, a structured match programme as well as stadium tours of Wembley and White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur Football Development Team were proud to launch our official youth club partnership at the recent pre-season match against Liverpool in Baltimore and we would like to thank all the players and staff for there enthusiasm and application. We look forward to a long and successful partnership.
John Watters, CEO Andromeda, said: "The innovative, high energy sessions the Tottenham Hotspur Football Development coaches ran were a big hit.
