Younes Kaboul is only looking forward as we prepare to visit Manchester City this weekend.
We return to Premier League action after the international break seeking to build on the 1-1 draw at Arsenal and subsequent 1-0 home victory over Southampton we’ve registered in our last two domestic fixtures.
But while some may point to the heavy defeats we suffered at the hands of Manuel Pellegrini’s men last term as a reason for trepidation, captain Younes says it’s very much about the here and now – and he’s approaching the game with optimism.
“Last season’s games are in the past and in football you always have to focus on the present and look to the future,” he said.
“We can’t wait for this match, we want to go there and play our game.
“We need to repeat the same performance as we produced against Arsenal. In these big games we need to do something to show everyone what we are capable of.”
