In recognition of the announcement of our latest US youth partner club, the Tottenham Hotspur flag was raised above City Hall in El Cerrito, California, last week.
As part of a special ceremony organised by Mayor Janet Abelson and City Manager, Scott Hanin, the Club was thanked for its contribution to sport in the city, following the recent formation of East Bay Tottenham Hotspur.
Formerly known as El Cerrito F.C., the club has adopted our world renowned football philosophy, with coaches from the Tottenham Hotspur Global Coaching team working alongside players throughout the season.
Coaches will ensure and maintain high standards, while overseeing player development using methods based around a philosophy of stylish, attacking football. East Bay Tottenham Hotspur players will also play matches in Tottenham Hotspur kit.
The same partnership model has already been established in Florida, where Tallahassee United became Tallahassee Tottenham Hotspur in August.
